A burned-out producer. A celebrated director. One passion project—and ten years of unfinished business.
Ana Silva left the film industry the way you leave a fire: fast, scorched, and swearing never to go back. Then Cooper shows up. He's a celebrated director now—the kind of man who fills a room without trying—and he needs her to produce Somewhere, Sometime, the passion project she convinced him to pursue a decade ago. But returning to Toronto means facing everything she left behind: the anxiety she's never outrun, the habit of shrinking herself into whatever shape the room needs, and the wreckage of a past relationship that did more damage than she admits. And then there's Cooper—intense, attentive, impossible to ignore—and somewhere between shared sets and late nights on location, old admiration starts rewriting itself into something riskier. The goal was simple: produce the film, prove her worth, and leave. She didn't plan on falling for the one person who never needed her to prove anything at all.

AMEI A DIVERSIDADE!
O final deixou-me ansiosa.
I’ve read this book a month ago and already miss the characters! The book arrived beautifully wrapped and with some incredible bookmarks as well :)
A wonderful novel in the fantasy genre. Look forward to the author's continuation of the series. Magic is awesome!!
For anyone who loves stories filled with magic, morally complex characters, and high-stakes adventure, The Last of Their Kind delivers on every front. This is a must-read for fans of immersive fantasy worlds with richly layered plots and unforgettable characters.
"The First of their Kind" is a really solid book. The characters felt very much real and alive. Unlike many other books, the characters weren't 100% good or evil; no mustache-twirling villains or selfless heroes ready to save all the little guys. The world seemed rich in history, religion, and culture. I am looking forward to exploring more of it.
If you love adventure stories like Throne of Glass, a bit of romance (think enemies to lovers with a TWIST), and heists, this fantasy novel is for you! I already cannot wait for book two!
This book is by far one of the best books I've read in the longest of times. The story flows beautifully, the characters are deep and relatable, the themes are intentional, and development is infused in every page. There's multifaceted layers to each character, to the story, to the world building and I wish every book was as well thought out and written as this one is.
Magic. Assassin. So much pain, she's not good enough. The story unfolds with so much depth, so much pain, and so much intensity. This story is so well thought out with such details and such interesting characters. It's light meets dark, and you can tell opposites attract. Fantastic story, impatiently waiting for the next.
